As the weather changes, please remind your child of the Murray dress code.
The dress code can be found on pages 12-13 of the student agenda books. Remember, at a minimum, all shorts and skirts must be at fingertip length when arms are relaxed and to the side.
Thank you for your support in the matter.

It concerns me that there are students failing both reading and writing at week 4 of the quarter. Please review the portal with your child and have him/ her complete the work that is the latest that is missing. As a point of awareness and caution, you can set your portal to alert you when your child is missing work or if the grade is below 70 or 80%. These alerts will help you stay abreast of the level or work done in class.
Field Trip to the Harris Theater to see The Children of Willesden Lane is Oct. 30th, Friday.
Funds for the trip were due on Oct. 21st. Please send your child to school with the $5, no later than Monday, Oct. 26th.
***Chaperones are needed for this trip, please sign up on your child’s permission slip***
My records indicate that your child has not returned a signed permission slip for our trip to Lincoln Park Zoo on Monday, October 19, 2015. There is no cost associated with the trip and attending. Students will receive one lab grade in science for participating in group research and extra credit given to students that have parents chaperoning the trip. Students will need a lunch or money to purchase lunch from one of the Zoo Cafe’ buildings. Please send a signed field trip and photo release (you can deny photo taking permission by zoo personnel) to me on Monday or a note explaining why your child is to remain at school and not attend the field trip (this information is needed in the office). Please open and print the field trip permission slip and photo consent attachments below.
Thanks so much,
Students and teachers will be reading a book together entitled: Children of Willesden Lane in their homerooms. Starting next Wednesday, students will be given a set number of pages to read for the week to be prepared for the homeroom discussion on the book.
If you are interested in reading the novel with your child and his or her teacher or would like to know a synopsis of the book, please click the link below.
Students who fail to complete or read the book, will not be allowed to attend the field trip for the play of the novel on October 30th at 10-1p.m. (field trip slips will be forth coming).
With the school year underway, I have attached my updated syllabus as well as the first quarter letters that you will be receiving from your child the first week of school. Just in case it gets lost in translation, I am making them available now.
